Rope

The Germantown Fire Dept. Rope Rescue Team became active in the early part of 2003, a large amount of training was conducted throughout the year to get the team members familiar with the equipment and procedures. A group of people was selected to be team leaders and have received advanced training. This rope team is the first of its kind in the county reflecting the department's strong belief in staying up to date with the latest changes and always trying to provide the best protection for the people in our community and surrounding area.
Once the team is in full force we will start doing demonstrations for departments in the county so they have an idea of the resources available to them. The team building process will take some time, we want to build on a strong foundation and the team leaders are that foundation, but no building is complete without walls and a roof so a lot of attention will be directed to the rest of the team as well.
